Our Memorial Day weekend was very nice and for the most part restful. Evan and I really enjoyed having Eric around for an extra day!!! On Sunday we went to Florence for the evening service at the Florence Baptist Temple. Our friends Kent and Megan had adopted the biological sister of Grace ( she is now two and some change!!), and they had a dedication service for adoptive families. So we wanted to be a part of that. We were able to see a lot of friends and it was a real nice time. Eric's parents drove down from Dillon so we were able to visit with them too.
My great friend Crystal gave us this sand box, that looks like a crab, before Evan was born. It was her kids sandbox. Earlier last week I hefted a hundred Pounds, YES A 100 LBS, of sand to the backyard and into the sandcrab. This weekend Evan tried it out and of course Loved it. As I have told you in a previous blog, he loves the sand, however,
thankfully has stopped EATING it!!!!

Evan's Third Haircut
We ( Evan and I ) traveled to Florence yesterday. I had my teeth cleaned in the morning and then we both got our hair cut in the afternoon. Evan has had his haircut two times before but both times he was sitting in my lap. Today he sat all by himself in the big boy chair!!!! Two suckers later and a lot of coaxing mission was accomplished. Angie ,who is cutting his hair, is a good friend of mine and is very patient!!!!
Evan, after his haircut and I was getting mine cut, found a really cool dust pan he could push around the room.
So tell me again why we go to Walmart and places and by toys? He would be just as happy with household, everyday items!!!!! We might have to sit and rethink the whole " toy buying" thing!!! : ) Ok, for Christmas he'll take a broom, paper towel roller, dust pan ( with handle), a empty box or two!! : )
But then, what do you get with a little boy running around with a dust pan with a handle? A FAT LIP!!!!! Yes folks, Evan went to the floor hard. His gums and lip a mess. He is a trooper though and is doing better. Despite this ending we really did have a nice time visiting with the girls at the dental office, Angie, and Eric's mom who drove from Dillon to come visit with us too.

Weekend Of FUN!!!!
This weekend we got a lot accomplished. Now you may look at this picture and wonder "what in the world?" I say " YAY!!!!!" This is my new Badger 5, 1/2 horsepower garbage disposal!!!! And again you may say, " SO WHAT!!!!!". Well, if every time you turned on your garbage disposal and it sounded like a freight train coming through you would be excited too!!!!!! I have such a wonderful husband who is also very handy, thank the Lord!!!
Ok, Eric has had this project in mind for some time now. He has built this giant sawhorse thing which from the road is bound to be a conversation piece. What this is for is to hang tomato plants from which he is going to grow upside down from these buckets. And also has planned to grow peppers too. Then on the sides he intends to have beans grow up the sides. So we shall see......

The Dutton Family Pictures!!!
I thought everyone would like to see pictures of Eric and I, oh who am I kidding, you just want to see EVAN!! Well, tough!! : ) We were all at Eric's folks house a few weeks back and Linda took these pictures. I thought they turned out pretty good. Ok, Evan just saw something he would rather be looking at but that's ok.

Ok guys we are going to give this a go. As most of you know I am NOT computer savvy but am getting better. So to be up with everyone else I thought I would try a blog. Besides I have so many people I know around the world that it surely would be nice to let people know what you are up to and not have to email everyone. Anyway we'll see what happens. Bare with me please.
