It just so turned out that the Dutton’s had their own international weekend this past weekend. Eric’s mom came and painted our bedroom this past week/weekend. I will post some pictures of that, which however, has nothing to do with the international theme but….kill two birds with one stone!!!
Friday night when all was said and done, we took Linda to eat Mexican food. Thus began our International food quest.
Then Saturday we drove to Charlotte for some shopping and then met friends for Ethiopean Food. We met Jeff and Melanie Freshour and Steve and Libby Newton and their 6 kids for supper.
Evan had never eaten Ethiopean food but LOVES Indian food so we didn’t think there would be a problem and there wasn’t. He ate it up.

The Duttons
We had a blast eating out with friends and had a good time catching up on what everyone has been doing the last several years. Jeff, Melanie, Libby and I were all in Kenya together.
Then we just couldn’t end the weekend without a Sunday lunch trip to the Indian restaurant. Eric and I started coming here when we lived in Florence and we would just drive to Columbia for shopping and then of course top it off at the Indian place. When we moved here coincidentally ( I promise : ) ) we moved right down the road from the restaurant. When I was pregnant with Evan this is pretty much what I craved and ate!!! Now we take Evan and he by far eats the best here out of anywhere to include my cooking.
Evan enjoying his plate of food. Most of the red you see on his plate is the Onion chutney which is his favorite. It is meant to be a condiment but for him it is the main dish. All it is is raw chopped onion with chili sauce. That’s my boy!!!!!
Thus ends the International food quest, I think we did pretty well.
